Friends of Ainderby Steeple School

What they do

All parents of children who attend the school are ipso facto members of the Friends Association. Our school has a thriving Friends Association which raises funds for many major projects, whilst providing money for regular services such as swimming lessons, coach trips etc, which are not provided for in the school budget. The biggest projects in recent years have been the refurbishment of the library in the school entrance, a tyre play system in the playground, a new front garden and the purchasing of a reading scheme.

However, their purpose is not solely to raise money. They aim to provide a social link between Staff, Parents, Children and the local community and to this end regularly organise social events such as family quizzes and barbeques, which have always proved very popular. The Committee is elected at the AGM in October, and they are responsible for organising events and controlling funds. They are always happy to welcome new faces and new ideas - come and join them to support the progress of the children and the work of the teaching staff!

Please get in touch with us if you would like to be involved. Read our weekly letters from the 'News' tab to see some of the events they have planned.
